The martial arts differ from most other forms of exercise, because there is a uniform development of the body. In the process of martial arts training a person develops strength from stances, footwork and jumps, upper and lower body exercise from punches, kicks and twisting. Cardiovascular exercise from Kata and bag work. The martial arts are also unique in the fact that they work the mind as well as the body. Most of the time only a few minutes is needed to complete a Kata, however, as you practice, the movements become faster and more vigorous coordinating upper and lower body and the cardiovascular system. Almost no other form of exercise can be done at any time or any place without equipment as easily and as beneficially as the martial arts. Classes are organized in 6 weeksessions.
