Sensei Kevin Carmichael began his studies in the Martial Arts in 1987. He has experience in Traditional Karate, Kung- Fu, Aikido and boxing. In 1994 he began studying under Shihan James Bryant in Kenpo- Karate and received his Black Belt in 1998. Since then, he has been teaching his passion for the Martial Arts to others. In 2003, he opened MastersSelf-DefenseCenter in Braintree. Sensei Kevin Carmichael has successfully incorporated his Karate program into after school programs in the SouthShore area, including the B.A.S.E. program and Just Right CC. program. He has taught at over 42 after school programs in the Massachusetts area. Over the years he has taught seminars in women's self -defense, and has trained teens and adults to reach their full potential.
In 2007 Sensei Kevin received his 5th Degree Black Belt. Although he holds many personal accomplishments in the Martial Arts, his focus is on training others to be the best they can be.
